Sunflower Easel Card

I found this pitcher digi image online, as well as the sunflowers (sorry can't remember where) and it just said *country* to me.  I had to combine it with a country scene somehow.  I took the picture of the sheep in Yorkshire, England and since you can't get much more *country* than that, I decided that was the one! I made the *curtain* from a piece of white cardstock, punched along the edge and used my copics to give it a ruffled look. The doilies on the window sill are part of a set of digi's that I purchased.  I finished it off with one of my crochet flowers.  This colour combination is not one that I usually use, but thought it went well with the sunflowers, which for some reason ended up orange rather than yellow, oops!

More pics...

I made the front first & it is quite big, 7.5" x 7.5", so wasn't sure what kind of card to do.  I thought the easel card was probably the best, and it worked out quite well.

By the way,  my Cinch binding tool did come yesterday.  It works just great, and will make mini albums so much faster to do.  I had to try it though, so I used it to bind my song book, which I use in my congregation.  I've been meaning to get it done for ages, but now I can do it myself.  My hubby cut off the binding with his saw, then I did the rest....easy peasy!

Gotta run now, supper is just about ready....
Thanks for looking at my blog and if you have time I would love it if you could leave a comment for me.
Have a great evening,

This is fantastic Babs! I love the widow theme! The curtain doily, picture cute in squares! Stunning! Love your binding tool too! Can you do my song book? LOL! So cool. I should try that. I NEED that for our theocratic books wink wink- But since I have it I will use it for crafts. Just kidding- Looks like a handy tool, and perfect for our literature too!

The sunflowers scene is simply charming. I am envious of how well you seem to work with digi prints. I have not gotten into digital scrapbooking yet. The closest I come is to print something like a pattern to cut out tags. Your work is just what I strive for.... so pleasing to the eye. And hey...... The sunflowers look great to me. Who says all sunflowers have to be yellow anyways ??!! Love it ! kimi
