*Cottage in the Woods*

Today when I picked up my mail at the post office, what a nice surprise!  My order from Simon Says Stamp was in.  I wasn't expecting it until next week.  They really outdid themselves this time. This *cottage in the woods* die from Memory Box was one of the goodies I received.  Of course, I had to play right away!

I hand cut some more hills and layered them with the die cut in front.  To darken up the sky a little I used chipped sapphire distress ink, leaving part of it lighter for a little moon glow....  I didn't do a great job with this, but hopefully I'll get better with practice. Then I punched out the moon and inked it a little bit with antique linen distress ink.  I also rounded it slightly with my embossing tool and just glued around the edge.  Then I added the sentiment and some stars with a white gel pen.  I added a little *wink of stella* (also in my package today) to give them a bit of shine.

Hope today was a good day for you, come back soon!

Summer Picnic

I made this card to enter into the *Summer Picnic* challenge at *The Shabby Tearoom*

The basket is a stamp from *River City Rubberworks* I added the tea towel (just a small piece of copy paper which I drew pink lines & folded) and prima flowers.  The papers are *Tea Party* by Dovecraft.  The teapot is a digital image, coloured with Copics.  The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

A closer look....

Here's the inspiration picture

Thanks for looking, hope you'll come back soon!

Red & White!

Good morning friends!
Here's my latest card.  The flowers are a Penny Black stamp, coloured with Copics, cut out and embossed to round out the petals.  The sentiment is a Stampin Up stamp.

Here's a few more pics....

Thanks for visiting today!
If you let me know you've been here by leaving a comment, I can come and visit you too.

Just one more...

Just one more card for today. I already had this one made, but with a different picture.  I decided I didn't like it, so I changed the picture to this coffee cup one from Stampin Up.

I popped up the coffee cup and sentiment

I added a pocket on the inside to hold a Tim's gift card.
For those of you not in Canada, Tim Horton's is a well known and favourite coffee shop here.

Bye for now....

*Friend* Card!

Hi Friends!
Another card to show you on this wet, windy, cold day in Alberta.  It has been so hot, too hot for me, but this is going too far the other way!  Oh well, not a thing we can do about it.
The digital image I used is *tea and a book* from Saturated Canary.  I coloured her with my copics......something I havent done for ages, so don't look too close, I'm out of practice.  I chose red to go with the paper.....love these colours together.

The inside, I'll write my message with a white gel pen.

These are the papers I used, it's a 6x6 cardstock pad.  I have no idea where I purchased it, it's been a while.

Well, hope you have a lovely day wherever you are.
Till next time....

Congrats!

Good afternoon!
Here's my latest card.  It is an anniversary card for friends.

It measures approx. 5.75" x 4.25

My favourite part is the bow...it is made with my new die, shown below.

The inside.
This is the centre of the oval die cut, stamped with a Stampin Up stamp.
There is a white strip below for my message.

Here's the products used....
Sue Wilson die, which I ordered from Joanna Sheen in England.

This is the die I used for the centre of the oval, I cut it first, then cut the part of it that I wanted with the oval die, below.  For the sentiment I used  Spellbinders fancy ovals.

Now I have to make an envelope for it.

Thanks for stopping by today!
