Yum!

This is what I've been working on this weekend.
A local store is going out of business and had everything on sale so I purchased this scalloped octagons *Nestabilities* set, after finding out that I can use them in my Cuttlebug which, by the way, is one of my favourite tools.
Here's what I used on this card... the white cardstock  is embossed with Cuttlebug folder *scrollwork*.  The yummy drink is a digital image coloured with Copics and popped up. The sugar & spice sentiment is from TLC.  The stars are made with a Fiskars punch.

A couple more pics...

Kraft Challenge Card

This is definitely a change for me.  I've never used kraft cardstock before.  It's never been a favourite of mine, but when I saw this challenge at The Spotted Chick, I thought I would give it a try.  I decided to use denim d/p with it, as I think they go together pretty good.  I punched the flowers out of kraft, inked the edges & added circles to the centres.  I sewed the denim onto the kraft using butchers twine and also used the twine for the flower stems.  I used a sponge and green ink to color it.  The flowers & centres are rounded by using a stylus... you can see this on the following pictures.

I have entered this card in the following challenges:
FTR 17 @ Catered Crop

The ingredients I used are in red...
  • Colors – red, white, green, blue, gray, kraft
  • Stamps and Stickers – strawberries, sentiment, aliens/monsters, scientists or science subjects
  • Patterns – circles, checked/gingham, scallops
  • Color Mediums – markers (ProMarker, Copics, White Signo Pen)
  • Embellishments – clear gloss, glitter, charms, brads, ribbon
  • Tools – corner rounder punch, border punch, die cut shapes
  • Techniques – faux stitching, doodling/drawing, make an easel card
  • Theme – birthday, just hello/because
That's all for today,  hope you'll pop by again soon ~
till then....happy scrapping!

Nurse Stella

I made this card tonight for a friend who fell and broke her hip yesterday. I hope this card will cheer her up a bit....she's been through a lot this past year.

The digi image is Stella from Bugaboo Stamps  I coloured her with Copics. To me, she's a sassy lady, so I thought she should be a red head with her sparkly green earrings...the sparkles don't show up on the picture.  The d/p is DCWV Baby Girl stack ~ it is also quite sparkly.  I love the sentiment which comes with the image.  The polka dot satin ribbon is from Walmart. I also added some faux stitching.

Have a lovely evening and thanks for stopping by my blog.

It's a Mystery!

My background has disappeared for some reason.  At least I can't see it.  Can someone out there let me know if you can still see it.  I made my header, dividers and buttons, so they are still there.  The background is from "Cutest Blog on the Block".  I have gone there and the background I had is still there.  I re-added it, but no go!
Would appreciate it if you could let me know.

Thanks much,

I Scream for Ice Cream

This is my latest card.  I cut out the 4 parts of the ice cream cone, and popped them up on top of the original image.  The sentiment frame is from Create with TLC, a new one this week. (link on right)
The papers are DCWV.

A couple more pictures.....

Thanks for looking, see ya later!

WOYWW

There's not much going on on my work desk at the moment.  We have just installed new flooring in my craft room, so everything has been upside down.  As I'm sure many of you will know, renovations are usually twice the work, having to remove the old carpet, then move furniture, remove doors, etc. etc.  It definitely looks better though.  Things are partly put back in place, but thought I'd share of few pics of how my craft space looks today.

Here's a digi image that is coloured and ready for my next card.

A box of sentiments and images that I've printed and are ready to be coloured with my copics.

I just re-organized my shelves.

My plastic drawers and paper rack, still waiting to be put back where they belong.

Thanks for dropping by,
