*Elegant Edges* Mini Album

Hello there,
I'm back today to show you an album that I just finished.  The shape is cut from the Cricut *Elegant Edges* cartridge.  This cartridge has a *book* feature and has many shapes to choose from, it also has frames, borders & more to go with them.

Here's the paper stack I used

Page 1 & 2
The inside cover page has a pocket and a photo matt.  The pocket is only glued down at the bottom so that you can slide in a bigger photo if you wish.

Page 3 & 4
The left page has a waterfall style insert, each one has a pocket on the left side and slide in photo matts, as you can see in the next picture

Page 5 & 6

Page 7 & 8
Right page has a picture frame, the top is open to slide your picture in.

Page 9
There is room on the back of this flower to add a picture

Page 10
There's an insert on this page with 2 front pockets & tags and a side pocket with a photo matt.

The back of the insert is also a photo matt.

This page has a pocket, again glued just at the bottom, and a tag.

This *hidden hinge* binding system created by Kathy Orta is my favourite one to use for albums.  Here is a link to Kathy's video instructions.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great day!

Thanks for your nice comments guys! No, lotta joy, I haven't sold any of my albums, I make them to give as gifts to my friends. I wouldn't even know how much to charge.
Have a nice day, Babs

Oooh. I'm so sorry to hear that. It just reached out to me and I had to ask. (I wouldn't know what to charge either) I doubt any amount would replace the material and time.

Wow - I see, I missed a few of your fabulous projects... sorry for that! Very beautiful mini-album, Babs!! I love the black base - so the colours pop! The flowers on the front are so very lovely embellishments!

Oh, wow, Babs! This is amazing. I have the EE cartridge, but I haven't used it very much, mostly because I am not sure of the "steps" for creating a mini album.

Would you mind answering some questions, please?

1. Do you use chipboard for the base of the album pages?
2. If not, then what do you use?
3. If so, then do you cover the chipboard with the paper and then cut? How do you adhere together? Or do you cut the chipboard and papers separately and adhere together? If you do that, how do you manage to keep everything so well aligned?
4. Thank you so much for taking time to respond.

Hi Dodie, Thanks so much for your nice comments.

I didn't use chipboard because I don't have a blade that will cut anything that thick. For the covers I used a piece of light cardboard, such as a cereal box. You can change your pressure settings so that it cuts through.

For the pages I used a good quality heavy card stock.

For the covers and pages I cut out the designer paper at a smaller size, so that it gives you a nice edge.

I used double sided tape and a Zig glue pen to stick the d.p. to the cardstock.

Hope this helps!
Babs
