Ride 'em Cowboy!

Yesterday, the 10th of October was our wedding anniversary.
I wanted to make a card for my hubby that was fitting for him....lots of possibilities there, but I chose this theme because he really enjoys spending time with his horse.

I started with black, then added a layer of kraft, then the polka dot one which is from the *Harpers Boutique* stack by The Paper Studio....this is layered onto black.  The western themed frame is a digi image that I have had for a long time and have no idea where I got it.  I roughed up the edges and used distress ink to make it look aged. I coloured the image *Cowboy McCoy* from Lori Boyd with Copics and popped it up on the frame. Finally I added the cross stitches and sentiment.  I won't show you all the soppy stuff on the inside  ;-)

 A couple more pictures.......

I thought I would show you a picture of our little Grandson today too, he's 11 weeks old now and growing like a weed.

That's all for today, hope you have a lovely day, come back for another visit soon.  Bye for now,

I have entered this card in the following challenges, all *Anything Goes*......

Your card really caught my eye on MIM. I love making male cards, having mostly men in my family, so I'm constantly on the look out for some inspiration! The layers of papers make such a great background for your image. The frame is absolutely fabulous, and so great together with this image! Love how you've distressed this to give it all an old look, and the sentiment looks great too. You've really got an eye for details! Love it!
PS: your grandson is very cute too :)

This card is almost as cute as your grandson :)Love the western frame, the mix of black and kraft, and the "rope" cross stitches. Each element supports the others so well.
