A Re~do

Okay, here's the 1920's flapper card (a couple of posts down) with it's new *do*  It's a very simple card, and easy to make.
The edge punch is a Martha Stewart.  I embossed the white card stock using my cuttlebug.  The flower digi is one I've had for a long time....no idea where I found it.  I tied the bow with my home made bow tool. The sentiment is from *Create with TLC*

Thanks for looking,

Chuffed to Little Pieces!

Why, you ask?

Well, I won one of the fabulous giveaways at Stacey's  one year blogaversary. Here's what I won.....

Isn't this great, so generous of you Stacey!

We had to write and tell her some of the funny & crazy things we do when it comes to our scrapbooking addi ~ er, I mean *hobby*.  It was so entertaining to read the stories, and kind of a relief to see that I'm not the only scrapaho ~ er,  *hobbyist* who gets a bit carried away sometimes.

Just had to tell you about it, have a great day &
come back soon.

1920's Flapper Card

I had lots of problems with this card, just couldn't decide what to use on it.  I finally settled on the 20's flapper girl....but I'm not  happy with it.  I'll probably take it apart and do something different with it.
I used 2 MS punches  ~ added sparkles to the flowers and the girls necklace, hat & waistband, which don't show up at all on the picture. The sentiment which I still have to put on the inside says *Styles come & go, but girlfriends are forever*.....sorry but I can't remember where I got this from.  I've had a lot of digi images and sentiments for a long time, before I had this blog, so never thought about keeping track of the info. If you recognize this one as yours please let me know so that I can give credit.

(This vintage image is from *Create with TLC* ~ lots of great digi's & sentiments to choose from, you should check it out)

Bye for now ~ have a good day!

New (to me) Fold

On my voyage through blogland I came across a website featuring some really cool folds for cards.  This is one of them ~ it is called  *Fancy Scalloped Edge* made with a 1/2 circle punch.
Here's where you can find the tutorial.  It's a simple card & not my usual style or colour, but I just wanted to try this fold, it's one I hadn't seen before.

Have a good evening all,
See you next time,

Sunflower Easel Card

I found this pitcher digi image online, as well as the sunflowers (sorry can't remember where) and it just said *country* to me.  I had to combine it with a country scene somehow.  I took the picture of the sheep in Yorkshire, England and since you can't get much more *country* than that, I decided that was the one! I made the *curtain* from a piece of white cardstock, punched along the edge and used my copics to give it a ruffled look. The doilies on the window sill are part of a set of digi's that I purchased.  I finished it off with one of my crochet flowers.  This colour combination is not one that I usually use, but thought it went well with the sunflowers, which for some reason ended up orange rather than yellow, oops!

More pics...

I made the front first & it is quite big, 7.5" x 7.5", so wasn't sure what kind of card to do.  I thought the easel card was probably the best, and it worked out quite well.

By the way,  my Cinch binding tool did come yesterday.  It works just great, and will make mini albums so much faster to do.  I had to try it though, so I used it to bind my song book, which I use in my congregation.  I've been meaning to get it done for ages, but now I can do it myself.  My hubby cut off the binding with his saw, then I did the rest....easy peasy!

Gotta run now, supper is just about ready....
Thanks for looking at my blog and if you have time I would love it if you could leave a comment for me.
Have a great evening,

Old Fashioned Hello

I've had this silhouette digi image for quite a while and came across it the other day.  I popped it up on this DCWV *Baby Girl* stack paper, used my new MS *punch around the page* punch to back the sentiment. (I had a 50% off coupon, which I always try to use on the more expensive items) The little roses I found in the $1.50 bins @ Michael's...the photo corners are punched with an EK punch that was on clearance  at Michael's.

That's all for now, I have to go for groceries and check at the post office to see if my Cinch binding tool has come in.  I ordered it from *Oh My Crafts* (link on the right) for an excellent price.  You should check them out, they really do have the best prices.

Thanks for stopping by,
*Update:  Thanks to Paulette at *Create with TLC* (link is on the right) for reminding me that I got these images from her.
