Another Craft Room Update!

Hi folks,
Well, things are moving along with my new craft room.  It has been framed and drywalled, now the taping & sanding are being done.  I have been getting together various items so that Im ready to start decorating as soon as it is done.  Here are a few of the things I have acquired......

Here are my very blingy lights, purchased at Costco.  The rectangle one will go above my raised work table and the round one is for the sitting area.

I made a rag quilt to use as a throw over one of my green chairs (belolw) in the sitting area.....

I still need to wash & dry it so that the ragging looks the way it should.

Chalkboard for the coffee station, found at Michaels for half price...

I will put Keurig coffees in the bins and hang cups from the hooks

Fireplace for the sitting area

Some dollar store jars to hold my fixins'  I punched out the green circles and black stars to decorate the tops.

I covered some styrofoam squares with designer paper to hang on the wall.

Found the items below at Homesense.
The large suitcase holds my embossing folders and the smaller one has my glitter, embossing powders and acrylic paints etc.

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back soon with before & after pics.

New Craft Room Plans

Hello Friends,

Just an update on whats happening around here.

Last July we moved into a new house, it wasn't an easy move by any means, with my husband sick, but with lots of help from our wonderful family & friends we did it.
I had a great craft room at the other house, and have really missed it.  However, I am going to put a new one in my basement.  I have lots more room here, and can't wait to have it done.  I've been planning and plotting for a while and these are my ideas so far......

These are the colours I have chosen, grey with apple green accents

Inspiration!

I made myself a bulletin board

and purchased some storage units from Michaels

Ordered 2 of these chairs for the sitting area.

.....and this is what I intend to do just as soon as my room is ready.
I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for stopping by today,

My Hubby!

Hello Friends,

I am very sorry to tell you that my dear husband, Eddie, passed away on September 9th after a 3 1/2 year struggle with pancreatic cancer.

During that time, his positive attitude was amazing and he was determined to live his life as normally as possible in spite of surgeries and treatments that were not always easy to deal with.

We were together for a long time, we would have been married for 50 years on October 10th.  Life is not the same without him and I am so grateful to my wonderful family & friends who continue to support me, as well as my strong faith in God which gives me comfort and hope.

Bye for now.
Babs xo

Take it Easy... You're Retired!

Good morning all!
Today I have another retirement card to show you.

This is a digi image that I coloured with Copics.  I cut out the picture above the bed and popped it up, then I cut out the 2 heads from pictures and popped them up also to give it some dimension.
On the inside it says, *You're Retired!*

I added a pocket to the inside that held this.....

The recipient was tickled pink and put on her *name* tag right away.

Thanks so much for stopping by today & have a lovely day!

Botanical Tea Brag Book

Hello friends!

Today I have a little wallet style, brag book to show you.  I found one very similar online and thought it would be quick and easy to make. Here's the link to it. I don't know the measurements of the one I saw, but I made mine 6x4" and 3/4" thick.  I used 6x6 and 8x8 pads of Graphic 45 *Botanical Tea* papers, they are such beautiful papers.  It holds around 32 photo's.

I did some fussy cutting from the 8x8 pad to decorate the front which closes with a magnet

I glued down the roses & birds nest just along the left edge so that I could slip in the photo mat underneath.

This one has a pocket which holds 2 photo mats

In the centre are fold out photo mats and 4 pockets, each holding a photo mat

Fold outs, can put photo's on both sides

The back of fold outs

Back of wallet

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit, hope to see you again soon.
Have a lovely day!
