Something to Howl About!
Here's my latest card, another "thank you" for a couple of young guys who very kindly came over to cut our grass - all of it!
(and we have lots of grass)
It's not the first time they have been there to help us and we appreciate it so much.
Here's a closer look at the howling hound!
This card is made with all digi images, which I love to use.
Thanks for dropping by,

Knitted Bear Card
I used several elements on this card. I stitched around the edge, the teddy bear is paper pieced using a textured knit background I found online here. For the feet, face, ears & heart I used a leather b/ground. I was pleased with the way it turned out. I used my Memory Mixers program. I got the idea from this tutorial video, so wanted to give it a try. I also added some flowers, which I crocheted recently.

My New Ribbon Storage +
The other day I posted what I thought was a great idea to store ribbon spools, go here to see what it was.
Pretty ugly eh? It's a dollar store toilet plunger.
Well, it didn't work anyway 'cause it wouldn't stick to my work desk and it wouldn't even stand up straight with the ribbon on.
It did give me an idea though - to make something like a paper towel holder - only taller to hold more ribbon, and with a bigger base to hold little jars for buttons, brads, glitter (the jars have a sprinkle top inside) etc. etc. The jars stay in place because they are recessed into the base. I talked my hubby into making one for me, and this is the result.
I'm going to try it and see how I like it.
Oh, were you wondering what happened to my plunger?
Here it is...in the bathroom.
I think it will do a much better job holding toilet paper. hee! hee!
Have a great evening and I hope you'll come back soon to see what's new.
Girl in Window Card
Here's another card made with a Sugar Nellie digital image from Funky Kits. This is Sybil. Can't remember where I got the window image...sorry. I actually remembered to do some sewing on this one, I love stitching on cards, but usually forget to do it till it's too late.

Thank You Card
I found this Sugar Nellie "Flora" digi stamp at Funky Kits they are located in Scotland. I thought their stamps were so beautiful and just had to get busy and make a card. This is what I came up with. I coloured the girl with Copics, and popped her up on the chair, which I paper pieced. I've never done that before....it's not perfect, but thought it turned out pretty good for a newbie. I printed an extra image and cut out the teddy bear to pop up on dimensionals. I added the pink cushion behind her and also the hat. I goofed on one piece of the chair so had to find a way to cover it up... hence, the hat! I wanted it to look like a room, so I used the striped paper to look like wallpaper and the brown card stock I embossed to look like a textured carpet.
Here's a closer look...
My picture is a little blurry, sorry about that.

WOYWW
I'm almost too late for this.... but it's still Wednesday for another hour or so....at least it is in my part of the world ;0)
Anyway..... this "contraption" is what is on my work desk today. I saw this idea for storing ribbon in a magazine. Well, actually it suggested using dowel, a paper towel holder would work too...but I saw this toilet plunger in the dollar store and thought that it might just do the job. Well, it would if it would stay stuck to my desk. Oh well, that's what you get for buying cheap stuff!
So much for my "brilliant" idea!
Update: June 23, 2011 ~ This has given me an idea (hopefully a better one than this) Stay tuned....I'll be back to show you when it's done. hee hee!

I just finished an album, so yesterday I tidied everything up on my work desk, There's some cut outs for a couple of cards I need to do....and that's about it.
Bye for now & thanks for looking!

Recipe Mini Album
Here is the mini album which I recently made for my granddaughter and her hubby. It has many family favourites plus lots of extra recipe cards to add their own favourites. I searched the internet for free recipe related graphics, and purchased some as well. I also added a few personal touches to some pages....

Another Paper Bag Mini Album
Here is an album I made for my Granddaughter.
It is a paper bag album, but a different style than others I've seen.
I found the tutorial HERE but found it to be a little difficult to understand. Then I found instructions
HERE on the Scor Pal website, which helped a lot.
Hope everyone is fine, thanks for visiting,
