Altoid Tin Update

I've been adding to my little album, so thought I would show you what I've done so far.......

On the inside lid I added a little letter, distressed and coloured with vintage photo distress ink.  I punched out little flowers from the papers I used & backed them with brown card stock.
The *Little Things* saying is from TLC (I think)

Another saying from TLC

Again from TLC
I have a link on the right to this site, if you haven't checked it out yet, you should, she has some wonderful digi art and sayings, many are free.

That's it for today, see you soon,

Something Different!

This is my 2nd post today......
I've seen these Altoid tin mini albums many times, but never thought I'd be interested in making one....until I came across a tutorial that looked like it would be fun to do - so, as you can see, I made one.
The papers I used are from the 8x8 DCWV *Natural* stack, which I really like.

Here's a peek inside.....

The inside has an accordion fold insert, with 12 sides to decorate plus the inside lid and bottom of tin.

  Here is the tutorial....have fun!

Bye for now, hope everyone has a nice day!

Hugs!

This 6x6 card is made with papers from the *Authentique* 6x6 bundle.
I used one of my crochet bows and *Hugs* is from the *Lacy Labels* Cricut cartridge.

Thanks for looking,

*Colour Me pretty* and a Red Rose

This is the first card I've made for a while.  I'm entering it into the Shabby Tea Room challenge - *Colour me Pretty*
The requirements are to use white, cream, pink & blue, fabric and a flower.

Here's the inspiration photo....

Now I want to show you a flower that I just made from ric rac.  I came across a tutorial, and couldn't wait to try it.

Another view...

I used 3/8" wide ric rac....the wider the ribbon the bigger your rose will be.

Here is the link for the tutorial.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Have a nice day!

Cute Crochet Bows

Hi everyone!
I came across these cute crocheted bows on Pinterest, & just had to give them a try. They are super easy to make and could be used for a number of projects, i.e. on a hat, headband or even on a card...which is how I'm going to use them. I would have wrapped black yarn around the middle of some of them, but I don't have any.  You could also omit the yarn wrap and add a button or nice gem to the centre.
I found an easy to follow video tutorial on Youtube.  Go here if you'd like to give it a try.

Thanks for stopping by today, now go and check out the video & have fun making your own bows!

Some Oldies

It's been a while since I posted anything, I've been busy with other things, but I also found that I was spending a little too much time blogging and not enough on other important aspects of my life.
I haven't made any cards lately, so thought I'd share a couple of projects I did some time ago.

First, is an exploding box I made for my hubby for our anniversary.

 Sorry about the poor picture.
I wanted it to look sort of traditional, then when he opened it, this is what is inside....

This is the first xploding box I made and it was made quite a few years ago before I started using Copics, so they are pictures that I purchased online.  Also there's a pocket to hold a Home Depot gift card.  He loves tools!

Another Xploding Box........

This was made for our son and daughter in law.

Another one.......
this time for my Grandaughter.

The little box held a necklace.

Now for something different, this is a coffee filter recipe book, fun to make & my first mini album.  I decorated with a set of themed graphics which I purchased.

That's all for today.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Have a wonderful day, bye for now....
