Friend Card

Here's my latest card.
My base card is 5 x 7 cream cardstock.  On top of that I layered the blue dotted designer paper, after punching along the edge using a M.S. punch.  I then added the floral paper.  Next came the lace and a strip of dotted blue, which I first folded.  Then the blue string tied in bows with the roses on top.  The sentiment is a Hero Arts clear stamp.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
If this is your first time here, have a look at the older posts, there's lots more to see.
Have a super day,

I Love Country!

Does this look familiar?

I have used some of the elements that I have on my blog design.

My blog background is from *Cutest Blog on the Block*, but since there was no header to go with it, I purchased the kit so that I could make my own header.

Below is the cute card that inspired me...

I saw it at Scrapbook.com

After seeing this I wanted to do a *country* card.
I really do love *country* and roosters....I have a few of them around my home.  I thought that these backgrounds etc would work perfectly.
I did a patchwork background and stitched around the edges, except for the one on the lower right, which I distressed.  The edges of all four are inked with distress ink.  The rooster is embossed to round him out a bit, and then stuck on with pop dots.  Ribbon & buttons from my stash.  I didn't add a sentiment yet.  Sometimes I don't until I know who I'm giving it to, then I can add something appropriate.

A closer look...

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

X's & O's

Good morning everyone!

This is a *swing* card - aka  *flip flop* card, which I made for friends who are celebrating their 30th anniversary.  Woo Hoo, good for you!

It's the first one of this type I've ever made, well, not if you count the ones I made and threw away.  I was trying to make a bigger one, because I thought this one was a bit small, but none of them worked out.....maybe because I've been bugged with a flippin' flu bug all week!

Here's the other side....
My message is written on the back.

Hope it's a wonderful day for you.

Baby Shower Invitation

Here's one of the 20 invitations I was asked to make for an upcoming baby shower. They are doing a zebra & hot pink theme.  Lots of punches of all sizes involved here.  It's made to go on the fridge with the info. on the back.

Here's the back.
So glad you stopped in today for a visit.

Have a super day!

Excuse my French!

This is my card for the  Shabby Tea Room challenge this week.
The challenge is to use neutrals, navy & distressing.

Here's the inspiration photo.

I incorporated the French sign, Paris letter, blue & white plate, (found at Graphics Fairy)  pitcher, shutters and the blue gingham.  This is not my usual style, so I found it to be a bit of a challenge, but now it's done I find that it's growing on me.

A couple of close - ups

Thanks for looking, I appreciate you stopping by for a visit.
Have a lovely day.

Cheeky Monkey

Love this stamp!  I found it on sale at Michael's and just had to have it.
I still have to add a sentiment to this card, probably at the left lower corner, just not sure what to have it say yet.  Don't look too closely at my sewing, I never seem to be able to get a nice neat corner, especially with these kind of stitches.  I really should practice more.

I have entered this card in *The Crazy Challenge*

I appreciate you stopping by today, hope you'll come back soon.
